The Maryland Inno Fire Award from the Baltimore Business Journal’s tech-focused publication honors local organizations who demonstrate closing new rounds of funding, launching new projects, adding employees, growing footprints, promoting equity and sustainability, and elevating the local startup universe. This year our team at Youreka is honored to be chosen as the software category winner. On Tuesday, April 5th, we had the pleasure of accepting our award and meeting several category winners as well as the Journal’s esteemed team at a beautifully, and safely, hosted event.
When we launched Youreka, we focused on the challenge of simplifying complex processes so that new workers could perform like experts. An additional benefit arrived when solving for this challenge:
A mobile decision support system that accelerates up-skilling existing workers for business-critical field work across industries like healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, energy: oil & gas, and beyond.

Our mission was affirmed last year in 2021, when we spun Youreka out of our incubator, SynapticAP, and raised over $8.5M in our Series A round of funding, co-led by Boulder Ventures and Grotech Ventures, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and Karen Mehal, VP Salesforce Field Service Product Management and Youreka Board of Directors, Observer.
